Pastor Kent Mattox, along with his wife Beverly, are the founding and senior leaders of Word Alive International Outreach in Oxford, Alabama. Through their ministry, they have not only impacted countless lives through the Gospel but have also spearheaded a movement of statewide transformation through their initiative, All In Alabama.
The seeds of All In Alabama were planted through prophetic words and divine encounters spanning over a decade. In 2008, Chuck Pierce had an encounter on Ellis Island, where he saw the spiritual condition of each U.S. state. Recognizing Alabama as a forerunner state and a state of justice, Chuck and Dutch Sheets embarked on a 50-state tour to release what they saw. Alabama, they believed, had a unique role in national transformation, particularly due to its historical covenant with Israel—being the first state to affirm Israel as a nation before its official ratification in 1948.

As prophetic words continued to be released over Alabama, Pastor Mattox found himself deeply drawn to the vision. However, the strategy for implementation was still unclear. The breakthrough moment came in 2018 when he had a profound dream in which he exchanged garments with a man named Ed Silvoso, a minister known for leading citywide transformations globally. This led to a direct connection with Silvoso and the discovery of a key concept: Ecclesia, the understanding that the Church was never meant to be confined to a building but to be an active governing body in society.

The Birth of All In Alabama
The defining moment for the movement took place in 2018 during a reenactment of the historic Freedom Riders March in Anniston, Alabama. This event symbolized a unity of denominations, races, and political affiliations, calling for healing and revival. That same year, Chuck Pierce prophesied over Kent and Beverly, declaring that they would send fire teams to the gates of cities.
In obedience to this word, Pastor Mattox and his team embarked on a mission. By 2019, they gathered representatives from all 67 counties of Alabama and presented the state to God. In 2020, despite the challenges of COVID-19, they deployed teams to pray over government leaders, churches, and communities in every county.
At each meeting, Psalm 24 was declared: “Open up, you gates! Open up, you ancient doors, and let the King of glory come in!" A remarkable confirmation of their mission occurred in their very first county-wide gathering. Within minutes of releasing the fire of the Holy Spirit, a wind advisory was issued for all 67 counties of Alabama.
A Model of Transformation
Pastor Mattox emphasizes that revival is not just about people coming to know the Lord—it’s about true transformation. The movement is guided by five key paradigms:
God saves nations, not just individuals (Matthew 28:19).
Jesus came to redeem “that" which was lost, not just “those" who were lost (Luke 19:10)—including government, education, and business.
Our work is worship (Colossians 3:23), making Monday as significant as Sunday.
Jesus builds the Church; we hold the keys to the Kingdom (Matthew 16:19), unlocking territories for the Gospel.
The Ecclesia is responsible for eliminating systemic poverty (Matthew 25:35-40).
Through these principles, All In Alabama is mobilizing believers in every sphere of influence—business, government, education, media, and more. The transformation is tangible.

Stories of Impact
The effects of this movement can be seen through incredible testimonies. In Washington County, a small-church pastor with a barbecue business caught the vision. Soon after, the largest steel mill in the county invited him to relocate his business into their factory, giving him daily ministry access to 3,000 employees.
In Barbour County, a woman named Patty Blankenship felt called to intercede for her community. The Lord instructed her to ring a dinner bell on her front porch each evening at 6 PM and pray. Her obedience led to neighbors joining her, and within weeks, 60 people were praying together nightly. Today, bells ring across Barbour County as part of the Front Porch Prayer Ministry.
At the state government level, All In Alabama has been invited to pray over legislative sessions, and leaders have witnessed firsthand the power of prophetic intercession.
Moving Forward
To sustain this momentum, Pastor Mattox and his team have established Apostolic Cohorts across the state—12 districts with leaders overseeing transformation in their assigned counties. They gather monthly to worship, receive teaching, and equip believers to impact their local spheres of influence.
Additionally, the movement is empowering Kingdom entrepreneurs, training individuals in business to create wealth for the purpose of funding the Gospel. They’ve partnered with Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith, whose teachings on Kingdom entrepreneurship and sacred rest are equipping believers to step into their divine assignments.
A Call to Action
For those seeking to implement similar transformation in their own communities, Pastor Mattox advises starting with a deep understanding of identity. Knowing who you are in Christ is the key to operating in authority. The seven redemptive gifts—prophecy, serving, teaching, exhortation, giving, administration, and mercy—help unlock personal and community transformation.
“We have been focused on building the church instead of unlocking territories for the Kingdom,” he says. “Revival isn’t just about big gatherings—it’s about sustainable, measurable, and tangible transformation.”
