Working Together in Crisis

In times of crisis, unity is essential. For Chad Dinkel, founder of Restoring Purpose Ministries, working alongside the United Cajun Navy has been a powerful reminder of the strength found in collaboration. Together, their mission is clear: to offer immediate disaster relief, restore hope, and provide a tangible expression of God's love when it’s needed most.

A Shared Mission of Service

Chad Dinkel’s ministry, Restoring Purpose Ministries, was born out of his desire to help others in the face of hardship. As someone who has seen the impact of natural disasters, Chad knew that physical aid wasn’t the only need in a time of crisis—people also needed spiritual restoration. This drive to serve others and make a difference led him to partner with the United Cajun Navy, a group of civilian volunteers who answer the call for help during times of extreme natural disasters.

“The United Cajun Navy is all about being there when disaster strikes,” Chad shares. “They are a group of people who leave everything behind to help those in need, and that aligns perfectly with the heart of Restoring Purpose Ministries. We both want to be there for people—offering them not only practical help, but also the love of Christ.”

Bringing Hope in the Midst of Devastation

The United Cajun Navy is widely known for its efforts to rescue victims of flooding, hurricanes, and other natural disasters. Whether it’s a small boat making its way through flooded streets or a convoy of volunteers bringing supplies to those stranded in affected areas, their team has a proven track record of responding quickly and effectively. Chad, who has been actively involved in their efforts, emphasizes the importance of being present during the most desperate moments.

“Seeing communities devastated by disaster and knowing that you are part of the team that is bringing relief, it’s humbling. But it also brings to light how crucial it is for all of us to come together in times like these."

"Working with the Cajun Navy has been a life-changing experience,” Chad reflects. “Seeing communities devastated by disaster and knowing that you are part of the team that is bringing relief, it’s humbling. But it also brings to light how crucial it is for all of us to come together in times like these."

Chad’s work alongside the United Cajun Navy has allowed him to be on the front lines of disaster relief, where faith and action meet. His team at Restoring Purpose Ministries is often right there alongside the Cajun Navy, providing supplies, offering emotional support, and—most importantly—sharing the hope of Christ with those in need.

In times of disaster, volunteers from all walks of life come together, united by the belief that they can make a difference.

A Kingdom of Volunteers: One Mission, One Heart

What makes the collaboration between Restoring Purpose Ministries and the United Cajun Navy so powerful is their shared values: compassion, selflessness, and a desire to serve others. In times of disaster, volunteers from all walks of life come together, united by the belief that they can make a difference.

“It's not just about getting people out of danger—it’s about showing them that they are loved and valued by God,” says Chad. “I’ve seen the power of God at work through the Cajun Navy, and it’s been incredible to witness how everyone’s efforts combine to restore lives, rebuild communities, and offer hope in a way that only God can.”

Chad believes that this partnership goes beyond just providing immediate relief. It’s about building long-term relationships and offering lasting support to individuals who are hurting. The United Cajun Navy and Restoring Purpose Ministries are committed to being a steady presence in communities long after the initial crisis has passed, offering follow-up care, resources, and most importantly, prayer.

“When we come together, when we work alongside each other, we can accomplish so much more. There is so much power in unity, and when we combine our efforts with organizations like the United Cajun Navy, we have the opportunity to transform lives.”

A Call to Serve Together

As disaster seasons continue to impact communities across the nation, Chad’s vision for his ministry remains clear: “When we come together, when we work alongside each other, we can accomplish so much more. There is so much power in unity, and when we combine our efforts with organizations like the United Cajun Navy, we have the opportunity to transform lives.”

Chad’s work with the United Cajun Navy and Restoring Purpose Ministries shows that when we serve with compassion, great things happen. It’s a reminder that, no matter the circumstances, we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the midst of chaos.

One thing remains certain: God is moving through their efforts, restoring hope, and bringing peace to those affected by disaster.
